WHY ESPORTS AT LINFORD DIGITAL ACADEMY
Esports can be a powerful educational tool when delivered in a structured learning environment. Our programme helps students develop important 21st‑century skills including:

PROGRAMME LEVELS
Digital Explorers (Ages 7–9)
Students are introduced to collaborative gaming and creative digital challenges.
Junior Esports League (Ages 9–12)
Students develop competitive skills while learning strategy and teamwork.
Game Design & Esports Academy (Ages 12–16)
Older students explore esports strategy, game design, and creative digital development.

Each term concludes with a Linford Digital Academy Esports Championship.
TYPICAL SESSION STRUCTURE
Warm‑up activity
Students practise communication or teamwork skills.
Team challenge
Students participate in guided esports competitions.
Strategy discussion
Teams review gameplay and discuss improvements.
Reflection
Students reflect on teamwork, leadership, and decision‑making.
SAFE AND SUPERVISED LEARNING ENVIRONMENT
This ensures that the games included in our programme are non-violent, age-appropriate, and suitable for a primary school learning environment. By selecting games within this rating category, we can focus on activities that promote teamwork, strategic thinking, creativity, and collaboration, while maintaining a safe and positive experience for all students.

The Esports Programme connects with other Linford Digital Academy courses including robotics, coding, computer science, and digital engineering projects. Students can progress from playing games to designing and building their own technology solutions.
